Quiet Your Mind Benefits
Could You Quiet Your Mind for Ten Minutes?
Mindfulness Expert Andy Puddicombe Ted Talk
What If You Could Quiet Your Mind for a few minutes a day and practice mindfulness. Do you worry you’ll become drab and boring and think you have to surrender your worldly good in exchange for peace. Quite the contrary! I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Andy Puddicombe speak, he is bright, vivacious, entertaining with a great sense of humour and a mindfulness expert too!
When is the last time you did absolutely nothing for 10 whole minutes? Not texting, talking or even thinking? Mindfulness expert Andy Puddicombe describes the transformative power of doing just that: Refreshing your mind for 10 minutes a day, simply by being mindful and experiencing the present moment. (No need for incense or sitting in uncomfortable positions.)
Benefits of a Quiet Mind
You don’t have to sit in silence for hours on end to quiet your mind and reap the benefits. Just 10 minutes a day will help you relax, refocus, gain clarity, clear the brain fog and give you the extra energy for the fun stuff you want.
When we think of mindfulness often we jump to conclusions thinking we have to sit for hours in silence when all we really need is a few minutes a day to have a quiet mind. Most of us live in chaos with hectic lives, we have cell phones, email and gadgets we have become enslaved to, we are always connected but not in a good way. And sometimes we need time to let go quite the mind so it can clear space so we can become more aware of what really matters, what brings us more joy and open us up to our true nature and creative self. This is what really makes us authentic, fun full engaged people. People who others want to be around. All because you took time to quiet your mind and connect to who you are.
